About Me
I’m a writer, storyteller and humanist. Which basically means I'm a hopeless idealist. A fool in love with the world. According to Gallup, my top strength is Connectivity. It's one of those soft skills my friends make fun of, but I like to think it means seeing a connection in all things and having an inherent love for people.
My overriding philosophy is "fun and contribution." I see myself as a fun-loving humanitarian-of-sorts, offering my skills as a way to best serve society. Simply, I live to serve and find purpose in my work.
I've been on a wide and varied journey spanning career paths and continents, but at my core, I am a storyteller. I’m a writer looking for the truth and heart of things, forming patterns from people’s experiences, interviews and narratives.
As Eileen Chong put it, “storytelling is an essential part of our DNA, it’s our innate, primal search for meaning.” Today we seek that meaning in everything we do: in the articles we read, the businesses we interactive with, the food we consume. Storytelling is how we fundamentally relate to things and feel connected.
I write humanised and honest Businesses with Heart stories, featuring entrepreneurs who’ve found their grove and contribution in life. I’m also the chief content person at Executive Lifestyle (the online partner to the Athena Network SG) carrying out business and lifestyle features. And fellow heart-pourer on the Singapore Unsung Heroes project.
